My mother, at age 85, became a client of DanielCare after suffering a stroke. We couldn’t be more pleased with the care she received over the next two years. Her aides were wonderful – caring, attentive, well-trained, and providing Mom the dignity she needed in her final days. She passed away as she wished: at home, peacefully, and with her aides who had looked after her almost every need. I can’t say enough good things about DanielCare.
We needed full-time care for a short-term period when my mom broke 3 ribs. We called a number of places but got a really good feeling from DanielCare. I spoke directly to Daniel, the owner. Everything was very clear and left no room for misinterpretation.
Daniel came over along with the aide he thought would be the best fit to meet with my mother and I. He also came over several other times just to check in. We really appreciated that.
The aide, Gloria, was fantastic. Not only did she get along well with my mother, but she bonded with her two very friendly dogs and cat. She took care of the entire home, which was very reassuring for all.
We would recommend DanielCare very highly.
Both of my parents lived in Florida and were very ill. It was time to bring them back to Connecticut, but my siblings and I knew we didn't want to put them in a senior facility. We wanted them to be in a home setting. I called DanielCare and they came to my house, going over what I had to do to prepare for my parents. When my parents moved back, DanielCare found 3 caregivers. In the 13 months the care and warmth my parents received was phenomenonal. It is amazing how you develop a bond with everyone, they became part of the family. I still keep in touch with the caregivers. Just recently my 98-year-old mother-in-law was rushed to the hospital and was there for ten days. I called Daniel on a Saturday, gave him heads-up that the hospital would be releasing her the next day. Daniel told me not to worry that he would be able to have someone for her as long as I gave him a few hours notice. He gave me a phone number that I could call at anytime. On Sunday at mid-morning the hospital called to say she was being released at 3:00. I called Daniel right away and he said he would call me back in 45 minutes. He called back in less time to say he had someone and they would be at the house at 4:30PM. He arrived with the caregiver and I knew when I saw her with this warm beautiful smile that everything was going to be ok. The caregiver was so loving to my mother-in-law and to us. It was only for one week, but the bond that we developed was amazing. Daniel and his staff have been so caring and helpful to our families. We would like to say “Thank you” to Daniel and his staff for their compassion and being there for us 100%.
